Description

From the composer:

I wrote this piece to commemorate the birth of my first son, Julian. I wanted to compose a piece that had a relaxed, contemplative feel, and have the essence of a lullaby. It is a gentle pop ballad that has a hint of a Bossa groove. At “J” the piece suddenly taps in the energy of a perhaps mid-1960s “psychedelic-esque” pop fanfare theme.

The studio-recorded version of ‘Awaiting Julian (Part I)’ is on the ‘Obsessed With Treasure’ album and can be found on-line on all the digital music platforms.

Score and parts included: trombone 1-3, bass trombone
