Submission Guidelines

Interested in having your work published by Potenza Music? Keep reading to understand our guidelines for what and how to submit your music.

What you can submit

Potenza Music accepts unsolicited submissions from all composers.  We will consider most items for publication, including, but not limited to: sheet music, text book, and audio/visual products. Submissions are reviewed on a quarterly basis.

Original Sheet Music

At this time, Potenza is only considering works that have been engraved (by the composer or by a professional engraver) and that meet with Potenza’s high standards of presentation. These works will be released as Composer Facsimile Editions. If you have engraved works (Finale, Sibelius, Dorico) that you would like us to review for publication, please download and follow the guidelines as outlined in our pamphlet, Submitting Your Music to Potenza – Composer Facsimile Edition.

Arrangements

When submitting arrangements of original compositions, please ensure that they are in the public domain or you have the written permission of the original copyright holder. Potenza Music is not responsible for obtaining permission to arrange or permission to publish from original copyright holders, and if your arrangement needs and lacks either of these permissions it will be rejected. If you are unsure of whether the original composition is within the public domain please consult a professional who can help you in that determination.

Please note that materials submitted for publication in no way implies an offer for publication or production.  If you would like more information, please contact our sales department here: sales@potenzamusic.com
