Travis Scott

Travis Scott is a resident of Lewisville, Texas and teaches euphonium at the beginner-adult level maintaining a studio of 50-60 students in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He received his Master’s degree in Music Performance at the University of North Texas and his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron. His primary euphonium teachers include Brian Bowman and Tucker Jolly. He also studied piano at length and maintains an active schedule as an accompanist. He is a member of the Blossom Festival Band, the Texas Star Brass Band and subs with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra. He is also music director for North Texas Euphonium Company, an auditioned euphonium choir made up of students from around the DFW metroplex. Very interested in new works for his beloved instrument, Mr. Scott has commissioned or had works written specifically for him by composers such as Jiro Censhu, James Woodward, Paul Ferguson, Elgar Howarth and Anthony Plog.
