Andrew DeBoer

Andrew DeBoer is an active musician and teacher in the Phoenix area. He regularly substitutes with the Arizona Opera and has played with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Paradise Winds, and the Symphony of the Southwest in Mesa, AZ. Andrew has also soloed with the Hastings Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Wind Symphony, Hastings College Wind Ensemble, and the 43rd Army Band in Lincoln, NE, one of the bands with which he played while he was a part of the National Guard. In 2013 he released his first solo album Violet Convergence: Viola Works on Clarinet. Andrew completed a Bachelor of Music degree at Hastings College in Hastings, NE where he studied with Debra McKim. He completed both his Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees at Arizona State University with Robert Spring. While performing throughout the area, Andrew is one of the music instructors at the BASIS charter school in Chandler, AZ and also teaches a studio of clarinet and saxophone students. He currently lives in Gilbert, AZ with his wife, Allissa and sons, Sam and Jude.
