Description
Rapid Run is one of the shortest streets in Lexington, KY and was my shortcut from my home to Man O’ War, one of Lexington’s main throughways. The work was composed as a short opener to provide a challenge for a remarkably talented group of students at the University of Kentucky and an opportunity to try my hand a multitrack recording and video editing, resulting in a video currently on my YouTube channel. This work was a finalist for the 2023 Winston Morris Award in Composition and was premiered by the University of Kentucky Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble at the 2023 International Tuba Euphonium Conference in 2023.
