William Struss

William received his Bachelor’s of Music Education from the University of Mississippi and studied trombone performance under Dr. Don R. Lewis. While at Ole Miss, he performed regularly with the Tupelo Symphony Orchestra and the University of Mississippi Orchestra, as well as in numerous pit orchestras for local musical productions. His first composition, Praelude and Fughetta , trombone quartet, was performed at the American Composers Concert during his undergraduate study. William has been a Mississippi band director, currently teaches trombone lessons and performs regularly as a freelance trombonist in classical and jazz ensembles. His compositions include arrangements and original music for low brass solos, duets, quartets, brass quintets, sacred music for solo guitar and voice, anthems for choirs, and music for Bands.
