Eduardo Nogueroles

Eduardo Nogueroles combines Interpretation with Teaching, Composition and Conducting. It is a Conductor of the Symphonic Band of the Societat Musical d’Alboraia, component of the Spanish Tuba Quartet, member of the Board Team of the Spanish Association of Tubas and Euphoniums (AETYB), International Representative of the International Tuba and Euphonium Association (ITEA) and Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Valencia and at the International Brass Academy AIVIME. 

He studied tuba, conducting, composition and contemporary music in the conservatories of Jávea, Valencia, Madrid and Perpignan, Arizona State University and the Royal Schools of Music, with professors such as Miguel Moreno, Mel Culbertson, Sam Pilafian, Harvey Phillips, Tomás Gilabert, Andrés Zarzo or Ferrer Ferrán. 

He was part of the Students’ Orchestra of the Community of Madrid and the Young National Orchestra of Spain and hi performes regulary with many Spanish orchestras. He was laureated at the International Tuba Competition in Albany (New York) and at the Xátiva Brass Competition (Valencia). Since 1996, he offers recitals and teaches courses and master classes all over the world.  In 2000 he recorded his first CD Escenas latinas, in 2014 Una mirada atrás and in 2021 Rock & Tuba with José Luís Martín. 

He has been Principal Conductor of the Music Bands of San Miguel de Oia, Vilafamés, Aldaia and Villar del Arzobispo, with which he has won several awards. He was member of the jury of Juventudes Musicales of Spain in 2001, Falcone Composition Contest in 2020 and Director of the International Tuba Festival of Vigo between the years 1997 and 2003. 

As a composer, he has received several awards, has commissioned works for prestigious soloists and also for different ensembles, and his music has been recorded in several CDs. His works has been edited by the Diputación of Valencia, Rivera Editores, Opera Prima, Branfor, Pinacle Brass and Potenza Music (USA). He is also a co-author of method dedicated to teaching brass instruments Brass School (ed. Bromera and Algar) and of the 18 Basic Routines for Brass Instruments (Amazon).
