
Jon Hansen is a tubist, composer, and arranger based in Seattle, Washington (USA), where he is pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Washington under Chris Olka. He holds a BM from the University of Southern California where he studied with Jim Self and Norm Pearson, and has also enjoyed studying with Sérgio Carolino in Porto, Portugal. Jon has written pieces for Mr SC and the Wildbones Gang, Danny Helseth, Surrealistic Discussion, Trompas Lusas, and The Fabulous Party Boys. Also an active freelance musician, he has recently performed with The Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, Tubaluba, Evan Flory-Barnes, The Fabulous Party Boys, and many other groups and recording projects.
