Description
Tournament Galop, originally for piano, is arranged here for tuba-euphonium quartet. Written as a showpiece for the composer, the frequent galloping figures remind listeners of horses racing, and is inspired by Jan Mazeppa, who was lashed to a horse that was sent galloping until the horse collapsed from exhaustion.
