Description

Brief modal introduction in quasi chacona mode leads the introductory theme through different landscapes in which the different rhythmic variants and contrapuntal accompaniments exchange soloist and winds, gradually transforming the main melody until leading us to a central episode of a lyrical character, already where once again the tuba and the different instruments dialogue, a decisive section leads us to a contrasting part where the rhythm gains prominence to the melody, with a more virtuous character, where the tuba displays many of its technical possibilities accompanied by a band dominated by the 8/8 rhythm until reaching a fermata where the soloist shows the quality of all the registers with great brilliance. The conclusion as a coda returns on 8/8 to lead us to the end.
