Description
Tico Tico no Fuba is a song written by Brazilian composer Zequinha de Abreu in 1917. It is translated as “sparrow in the cornmeal” and is written in the choro style that was considered the first characteristically Brazilian genre in urban popular music. Choro music is usually fast and happy utilizing counterpoint, modulation and syncopated rhythms.
