Composer Matthew Owen says that “Serenata de Medianoche is dedicated to ‘The Love Pit’, a beautiful group of people from all over the world who promote the artistic advancement of the human race using the most powerful tool possible, love”. This creative piece is unique in that it incorporates modern electronics and requires the tubist to step outside of their comfort zone and play multiple instruments in order to bring the piece to life.
