Ernesto Cavallini based his Second Duo on themes from Donizetti’s opera “Lucrece Borgia.” it is a true Duo, with a virtuosic piano part that matches that of the clarinet. While it is one of Cavallini’s less well-known works, this piece is full of wonderful musical moments and would make a great addition to your next recital.
