Commissioned by the Portugal Tubist, Sergio Carolino, Rhythming With Air & Hammers reflects the direction Jerry has taken in recent years. The journey as a jazz, rock, dramatic and concert composer has come together in this jazz infused style, melodically and harmonically. The search for new harmonic structures is evident here with superimposed harmonies in a quasi-tonal framework instead of traditional jazz chord extensions.
