Music for Tuba and Piano by Brian Ciach
All pieces on this album were commissioned by tubist, Paul Carlson, and span a compositional timeline of about 8 years. As a tuba and piano duo, we have premiered these works together in various concerts, including at our degree recitals, and at regional and international tuba conferences. I met Paul while we were both doctoral students at Indiana University and we have been friends and colleagues since. – Brian Ciach
