Description
Luigi Bassi’s “Gran Duetto Concertato” is one of the most exciting operatic fantasies composed during the 19th Century’s virtuosic era for clarinet and unusual scoring makes it one of the most unique. Vincenzo Bellini’s semiseria opera “La Sonnambula” (1831) depicts a story of a sleep-walking, Swiss village maiden named Amina and is used as the source material for Bassi’s operatic fantasy.
