Description
For his fantasy for clarinet and piano, Domenico Mirco offers five themes from Vincenzo Bellini’s tragedia lirica opera of 1833, Beatrice di Tenda. The fantasy travels through an Allegro introduction, a march-like initial theme followed by variations, multiple cadenzas, virtuosic passage work and a coda of original material. Mirco dedicated this operatic fantasy to his siblings.
