Description
The title of the work prompts the listener to embark on a journey through imagination. After the introduction, the soaring melody played by horn seems to take the listener to a wonderland. The mood of the music then suddenly changes to fast tempo when the first trumpet announces the unabashed theme to set off a journey. The rest of the work is developed by the use of fragments and imitations of the theme.
