Chad Arnow

Dr. Chad Arnow is the Assistant Professor of Trombone and Brass Area Coordinator at University of Dayton, having joined the faculty in the fall of 2014. He has been a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra since 2000 and has also served as as substitute and extra musician with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra since 1998, performing several times a year and appearing on five of their recordings. He has also performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, the West Virginia Symphony, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, and Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, Arnow leads the University of Dayton Faculty Brass Quintet, is a member of the Carillon Brass, and is a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Brass Quintet and the Elysian Trombone Consort. Dr. Arnow received Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in trombone performance from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music (CCM). He has studied with Tony Chipurn (retired principal trombonist of the CSO), Peter Norton (bass trombonist of the CSO and former principal trombonist of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra) and Timothy J. Northcut (Professor of Music-Tuba and Euphonium at CCM).
